Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company with Trisura Warranty Services have been combining their shared experience in Warranty/Mechanical Breakdown Insurance in the automotive and recreational vehicle space since 2006.
Our mission is to provide our partners and consumers with effective, comprehensive, and easy-to navigate plans that deliver value and peace of mind.
We understand that protecting one of your most costly purchases can be confusing, however our plans are designed to be easy to navigate for repair providers and purchasers alike. Essentially, the peace of mind that we offer is backed up by the fact that we pay every eligible claim presented to us, and we will make every attempt to minimize the inconvenience which results from a vehicle breakdown.
Our Plans
You choose which repair facilities you prefer to work with, and we work with them to facilitate your covered repair(s). All of our plans are 100% serviceable within Canada, and the Continental United States of America. Our plans include additional benefits, which are free of charge, designed to reduce the inconvenience resulting from a vehicle breakdown. These benefits include:
Roadside Assistance
Your plan provides you with the peace of mind knowing that you will never be stranded or left without a helping hand in the event of a breakdown. The services available to you are:
- Fuel and essential fluid delivery.
- Emergency towing to the nearest accredited service repair facility which deals with the vehicle type you operate and is able to repair it
- Winching and extraction
- Flat tire replacement
- Lock-out service
- Battery boost
Legal Information Assistance
More than 25 in-house attorneys covering civil and common law enabling them to address questions from all provinces. All members of the Bar Association across Canada offering unlimited legal assistance and practical information including:
- Highly qualified attorneys with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a private law firm
- Unlimited number of calls ensuring continuity of service
- Unlimited time per consultation
- Service is available 7 days a week, from 9am to 8pm (EST) and for emergencies 24/7
- Covering issues in all Legal areas namely, Family law, Property law, Real Estate matters, Wills and Estate matters, Commercial law, etc
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
Allows you to safeguard your purchased vehicle’s loan against a potential financial shortfall, should your vehicle be rendered a total loss. GAP covers the difference between what is paid out by your insurer, to the lienholder and the value of the loan that was in place when your vehicle was rendered a total loss. GAP protection is available to owners:
- With a financed contract amount of less than $100,000.00
- A vehicle that is an Automobile, Mini Van, Sport Utility Vehicle, Light Truck, Motorcycle (on/off road), UTC, ATV, Personal Watercraft, Snowmobile
- Where the loan amortization period is 96 months or less
- Who are Canadian residents
Making a Claim for Repairs
In the event of a breakdown, contracts require that you make all reasonable efforts to protect your vehicle from further damage. If your vehicle is non-drivable, please contact roadside assistance, and arrangements will be made to have your vehicle towed to the nearest repair facility. If your unit is drivable, please arrange to return it to your issuing dealership. If this is not possible, take your vehicle to the licensed repair facility of your choice. Please note the important steps below:
- Please have your repair facility call: 1-844-995-7700, or e-mail: warrantyclaims@trisura.com. It is appreciated that you provide your contract # to the repair facility that you are working with
- All repairs will be addressed individually based upon their merits, and the limit of coverage purchased
- Instruct the repair facility that they must obtain an authorization number from Trisura Warranty Services Inc. before proceeding with repairs. The amount authorized is the maximum that will be paid. Any additional amounts need prior approval
- In some cases, you may be required to authorize the repair facility to inspect or tear down your vehicle to determine the cause of failure and the cost of repairs
- If a covered claim is received, we will reimburse the repair facility or you for the cost of the authorized repairs performed on your vehicle, less any deductible
Contract Cancelation
All of our mechanical plans may be canceled at any time during the agreement period. Plans are canceled on a Pro-rata basis: meaning that the length of your ownership and km. driven are applied to calculate the amount to be refunded to you.
All cancelations are subject to a $60.00 processing fee.
Contract Transfer
Although contract benefits are intended for the original vehicle owner, all our mechanical contracts are fully transferable to the next private vehicle owner. In the event that you wish to sell your vehicle privately, please contract Trisura Warranty Services Inc, and we will be pleased to assist you with this. Please note that only transfers between 2 private parties are eligible for consideration. In the event that you trade-in, or consign your vehicle to a dealership/sales facility, contract benefits cannot be transferred.
All transfers are subject to a $60.00 fee.
